Guatemalan Iced Coffee

National Iced Coffee Day is April 21, and if that doesn’t spur you to drink rum, well… you’re probably not alone. But we like any excuse to pour ourselves a glass, including obscure holidays like this one. So spike that iced coffee today (or any day). For the recipe below, we’re pairing Ron Zacapa 23 Year Old Rum with Guatemalan coffee. Crafted in the Highlands of Guatemala, this barrel-aged rum offers rich notes of vanilla, almond and chocolate that complement the coffee produced in the same region.

Guatemalan Iced Coffee
Instructions
  1. Pour coffee into a highball glass filled with ice.
  2. Add Zacapa Rum 23 and Demerara sugar syrup and stir well.
  3. Add cream to taste.
