Father’s Day Cocktails for Dear Old Dad

Father’s Day is coming up, and if you haven’t found the perfect gift yet, don’t worry. Because it was right under your nose the whole time. Now, sure, you could give Dad another tie or a last-minute coffee mug procured from the nearest CVS. But he deserves better. So instead, how about a comfortable chair and a refreshing cocktail or three to enjoy on Sunday.

To that end, below we’ve got five Father’s Day cocktails for giving dad what he really wants this year. Which is gin, bourbon and scotch.

NOLET'S Silver Bulleit

SILVER BULLEIT

1 oz NOLET’S Silver Dry Gin
1 oz Bulleit Bourbon
1 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.75 oz Simple Syrup

Muddle one slice of grapefruit in an Old Fashioned glass. Add ice and remaining ingredients. Garnish with a grapefruit wheel.

burnt to perfection cocktail

BURNT TO PERFECTION

2 oz elit Vodka
.5 oz Carpano Antica
.5 oz Art in the Age Root liqueur
Laphroaig

Stir first three ingredients with ice, and strain into a coupe. Spray Laphroaig on top.

2 oz Bourbon
.5 oz Maraschino Liqueur
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
1 Dash Angostura Bitters

Build ingredients in an old fashioned glass. Add one large ice cube. Stir to chill and dilute, then garish with an orange twist.

1 ounce Johnnie Walker Black Label
.25 ounce Green Chartreuse
.25 ounce Luxardo Maraschino
.75 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
.5 ounce Simple Syrup

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with a cherry.

1.5 oz Teeling Irish Whiskey
.75 oz Ginger Syrup
.75 oz Lemon Juice
Boulevard Ginger Radler Beer

Stir first three ingredients with ice, then strain into a Collins glass. Top with beer, and garnish with a lemon peel and cherry.
