Transatlantic Fizz

The below recipe comes from Jonathan Pogash, The Cocktail Guru. It combines the rich and flavorful Sandeman Porto with other complementary flavors from across the Atlantic. Porto from Portugal, Champagne from France and Tequila from Mexico. Throw in some bright citrus and fresh berries, and you’ve got a delicious springtime sipper on your hands.

Transatlantic Fizz
  1. In a shaker tin, muddle strawberries with lime juice and almond syrup.
  2. Add tequila and port with ice, and shake well.
  3. Strain over ice into highball glass.
  4. Top with Champagne and stir briefly.
  5. Garnish with a strawberry slice on the rim of the glass.
  6. Serve with traditional Portuguese toasted almonds.
