Nuevo Manhattan

For a new spin on traditional Cinco de Mayo cocktails like the margarita and paloma, James Beard Award-winning bartender Leo Robitschek whipped up this riff on the classic Manhattan. Using a base of Riazul Plata Tequila, Robitschek employs both sweet and dry vermouth, as well as Combier and Amaro Nonino for his Nuevo Manhattan. The result is a complex and spirit-forward blend of agave with sweet herbal notes and a delicate orange accent.

  1. Stir with ice and strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
