Guayaba Arabica Cocktail

In honor of National Rum Day–which kindly occurs each August 16th–we’re taking the Guayaba Arabica for a spin. This is the winning recipe from the 2014 National USBG Legacy Cocktail Showcase, a competition that’s sponsored by Bacardi. The drink was concocted by Naomi Levy, a bartender at Eastern Standard in Boston.

The Guayaba Arabica is a flavorful, complex-tasting cocktail, but it’s actually quite easy to make and can be prepared with ingredients available at any grocery store. Check below for the recipe.

Guayaba Arabica Cocktail
  1. Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice and shake until the ingredients are well combined.
  2. Strain the mixture through a small mesh strainer or tea strainer into a cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish with freshly grated espresso bean.
