Another year has come and gone, and that’s a fine reason to hoist a glass and toast to a happy and prosperous 2017. Conversely, you may just want to hole up underground and drink away your sorrows. Either way, a good cocktail seems in order. So here are two of those–one that’s spiked with rum and features festive flavors like cranberry and hazelnut, along with some sparkling cider. And another that’s updating the classic martini with some maraschino liqueur and gold–for the fancier drinkers among us. So raise one, or both, and cheers to 2017.
