Tequila Herradura Releases Cognac Cask Finish Reposado
Herradura just announced the release of its second in a series of limited edition tequilas. First up was the rich and fruity Port Cask Finish Reposado, while this week brings us a Cognac Cask Finish Reposado (pictured). The tequila is aged for 11 months before moving to French cognac barrels for an additional three months. The result: cooked agave and oak notes with an added layer of flavors, including dried fruits, spices and caramel. Find it this November for $89.99.

Michter’s US*1 Unblended American Whiskey is Back
Michter’s fans, rejoice. The distillery has announced the return of US*1 Unblended American Whiskey after a two year hiatus from the market. The very small batch expression will hit store shelves this week and retail for about $45. Get a bottle before they’re all gone.

Korbel Introduces 12 Year Old Brandy
Korbel has announced its first new brandy in more than a decade. Korbel 12 is distilled from premium grapes and aged for a minimum of 12 years in Appalachian oak barrels. It’s full of fruit, vanilla, cedar and spice. The package got an upgrade too, with a taller, sleeker look. Find Korbel 12 on store shelves for about $40.

Here Comes Lock Stock & Barrel Rye Whiskey
Cooper Spirits Co., the same guys who brought us St-Germain and Creme Yvette, have launched a new product: Lock Stock & Barrel, a 13 year old straight rye whiskey. This 100% rye is double distilled in copper pot stills in Alberta, Canada. It clocks in at 101.3 proof and will run you about $115.
