Celebrate National Tequila Day with the Walking Dead Cocktail

the walking dead cocktail

It’s a big week. First, there was National Daiquiri Day. Now, we’re dealing with National Tequila Day, which is Sunday, July 24. And all the while, Tales of the Cocktail is in full swing. But we’re never too busy to take a tequila break. So for that, we chose something simple, refreshing and easy to make: the Walking Dead, a pink-hued riff on the classic Corpse Reviver No. 2 that comes from NYC restaurant, Irvington. By all means, go there and have a few. Or, with a little light reading and a basic ability to follow instructions, just see below to make a batch at home.

THE WALKING DEAD

1 oz Milagro Silver
.75 oz Lillet Rose
1 oz Combier
1 oz fresh lemon juice

Shake with ice, then strain into a coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
