Halloween is nearly upon us, which means Halloween cocktails are in order. Now, you can go the route of sickly sweet concoctions that involve muddling a Baby Ruth and garnishing everything with candy corn. Or, and hear us out, you can make some Halloween drinks that people will actually want to drink. We vote for the latter. That’s why we’ve compiled these eight Halloween cocktail recipes to make for your party guests. Or to just make for yourself between trick-or-treaters.
1.75 oz Partida Reposado Tequila, .75 oz fresh lime juice, .5 oz agave nectar, .25 oz Crème de Cassis, Ginger Beer // Shake all ingredients except ginger beer with ice and strain into a highball glass. Top with ginger beer and stir.
1 oz Grey Goose Vodka, .33 oz B&B Liqueur, 1.5 oz blood orange juice, 1.5 oz pomegranate juice // Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain over fresh ice and garnish with fresh oregano.
2 oz Elit by Stolichnaya, 1 oz apple cider, .25 oz fresh lemon juice, .75 oz allspice-spiked agave // Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into an ice filled highball glass. Garnish with an apple fan.
2 oz Brockmans Gin, 1 oz Ruby Port, Ginger Ale // Pour gin and port over large ice cube into a short glass. Top with ginger ale and garnish with a grapefruit peel.
1.5 oz Grey Goose L’Orange, .75 oz spicy pumpkin puree, 3 oz lemonade // Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain over fresh ice and garnish with pinch of pumpkin spice and burnt orange.
1.5 oz Grey Goose Le Citron, .75 oz fresh lemon juice, .33 oz Cointreau, .33 oz fresh pineapple juice, .5 oz Crème de Mure // Shake all ingredients except Crème de Mure with ice. Fine strain into a highball glass, then add a cap of crushed ice. Drizzle with Crème de Mure and garnish with mint.
.75 oz Zacapa 23 Rum, .33 oz Myers Dark Rum, .33 oz Captain Morgan Grapefruit Rum, .33 oz fresh lime juice, .25 oz Don's Mix, .25 oz passionfruit puree, 1 tsp absinthe, 1 dash aromatic bitters // Shake all ingredients, then pour into glass over fresh ice. Garnish with an orange slice.
Dark as Night
1 oz Cruzan Black Strap Rum, .25 oz falernum, .25 oz fresh lime juice, 6 oz cider // Combine rum, falernum and lime juice in a mixing glass. Pour cider into a rocks glass and slowly float mixture over top of the cider. Finish with fresh grated nutmeg and an orange.
